BADUNG, BALINEWS.ID – In a vibrant celebration of Balinese culture and tourism, a cultural dinner was held in the heart of Bongkasa Pertiwi Village as part of the official post-tour agenda for the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2025. The event was a collaborative effort between the Badung Regency Government and ASITA Bali (Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies), aiming to highlight and promote the untapped tourism potential of Northern Badung, especially its village destinations and local MSMEs.
The evening was attended by key figures in the tourism industry, including ASITA Bali Chairman I Putu Winastra, Vice Chairman of ASITA Bali Wayan Subrata, local tourism leaders, and international buyers from countries such as Myanmar, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, and the United Kingdom. Domestic buyers from Batam, Bandung, and Manado were also present, further amplifying the event’s promotional reach.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of ASITA Bali, Wayan Subrata, expressed his gratitude to the participants for joining the Badung Regency post-tour program.
“On behalf of the Badung Government and ASITA Bali, we extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation. Through this experience, we hope you’ve become more familiar with the tourism products of Northern Badung, which we believe hold strong potential for development and packaging into market-ready tours,” he said.
“We apologize for any inconvenience during the program and sincerely hope to see you again in next year’s post-tour,” he added.
The cultural dinner not only provided an immersive showcase of local traditions and hospitality, but also served as a platform for networking and product familiarization among buyers and tourism stakeholders. From traditional performances to local culinary experiences, participants were given a first-hand taste of the region’s unique charm.
Badung Regent, I Wayan Adi Arnawa and supported by other local officials, emphasized the importance of community-based tourism in the region’s development strategy.
“We are proud to meet directly with the people, who we consider the front line in promoting Badung’s tourism. Let’s maintain our shared commitment to building high-quality tourism aligned with the ‘Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali’ vision,” said Regent Adi Arnawa in a statement.
Local village leader (Perbekel) I Nyoman Buda welcomed the attention being given to Bongkasa Pertiwi and surrounding areas. He voiced optimism that continued support from the government and tourism bodies like ASITA would open new economic opportunities for villagers through sustainable tourism initiatives.
As BBTF 2025 continues to strengthen Bali’s position in the global tourism market, ASITA Bali remains committed to advancing community-based and sustainable tourism models that benefit not just visitors but the local population as well. (*)
