Agung 2026 Traffic Operation: Police Intensify Enforcement Through Manual Tickets and Handheld ETLE

DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Personnel from the Preventive Task Force of Operation Patuh Agung 2026 have intensified traffic law enforcement by combining conventional manual ticketing with Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) handheld technology to address traffic violations.

The enforcement measures aim to improve public awareness and discipline on the road while promoting safer, more orderly, and smoother traffic conditions.

IPTU Yudha Dwi Anggara, S.Tr.K., S.I.K., M.H., Operations Controller of Preventive Task Force 2, Traffic Management Sub-Task Force, Operation Patuh Agung 2026, explained that combining handheld ETLE technology with manual ticketing reflects the police's efforts to implement a more modern, transparent, and accountable approach to traffic law enforcement.

He emphasized that the operation is not solely focused on imposing penalties but also on encouraging motorists to develop responsible driving habits and respect traffic regulations.

"Through Operation Patuh Agung 2026, our focus is not merely on issuing penalties. More importantly, we aim to build a culture of traffic discipline within the community. We hope these efforts will help reduce road accidents to the lowest possible level," Yudha said.

The combination of manual enforcement and handheld ETLE technology is expected to improve monitoring and enforcement at various locations prone to traffic violations.

The use of handheld ETLE also represents an effort to strengthen the effectiveness of traffic law enforcement through technology while supporting greater transparency and accountability in the field.

As part of Operation Patuh Agung 2026, the police are also urging all road users to comply with traffic regulations, carry valid driving and vehicle documents, and use appropriate safety equipment.

Motorcyclists are specifically reminded to wear helmets that meet Indonesian National Standards (SNI), obey traffic signs and road markings, and prioritize safety whenever traveling.

Through this operation, the police hope to strengthen public awareness of traffic regulations, reduce the risk of road accidents, and create safer, more orderly, and smoother traffic conditions for all road users.
