DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pasma Royce has called on the Bali Provincial Leadership of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) to strengthen cooperation in maintaining religious harmony and ensuring public security and order across the island.
The appeal was made during a meeting between Pasma Royce, accompanied by senior Bali Police officials, and representatives of the Bali Provincial DMI at the Baitul Mu’miniin Mosque of BKDI Bali in Denpasar on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination between the police and religious leaders in promoting unity and preventing potential security disturbances in the community.
During the meeting, Pasma encouraged all elements of society, including DMI, to work together to preserve social cohesion and avoid being provoked by unverified information.
Open communication and cooperation among community stakeholders are essential to identifying and preventing potential public security and order disturbances at an early stage, he said.
Religious leaders also play an important role in promoting tolerance, brotherhood, and concern for the surrounding community. Mosques, as centers of worship and social activities, are expected to help strengthen messages of peace, mutual respect, and solidarity among residents.
Pasma emphasized the importance of the principle of “Police Working Together with the Community” in maintaining a safe and stable environment across Bali.
Through closer cooperation between the police, DMI, and other community groups, he expressed hope that religious harmony and public security would continue to be maintained throughout the Island of the Gods.
The partnership is expected to extend beyond formal meetings through sustained communication and practical cooperation, helping ensure that Bali remains safe, peaceful, and harmonious.
