Bali Police Promote Traffic Safety Awareness Through Agung 2026 Operation in Denpasar

DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Bali Police are stepping up efforts to promote road safety and traffic discipline through the 2026 Agung Traffic Operation, with officers conducting a public awareness campaign at the Kenyeri Traffic Light intersection in Denpasar on Friday, October 30.

The campaign, which began at 11:00 a.m. local time, was carried out by the Preventive Task Force's Public Education Sub-Task Force (Satgas I Preemtif Subsatgas Dikmas). Officers distributed informational leaflets and placed stickers containing traffic safety reminders for motorists.

The activity was led by AKP Lydia Kurniasari, S.Tr.K., head of the Public Education Sub-Task Force. Together with other assigned personnel, she approached motorcyclists and car drivers waiting at the intersection to deliver direct road safety messages.

AKP Lydia said the initiative was part of the police's proactive efforts to raise public awareness and encourage greater compliance with traffic regulations.

"Through the distribution of leaflets and direct public engagement, we aim to encourage motorists to remain alert and make safety a top priority whenever they are on the road," she said during the campaign.

Officers also reminded motorists to ensure their vehicles and required driving equipment meet legal standards, obey traffic signs and regulations, and prioritize safety to protect themselves and other road users.

Bali Police emphasized that the 2026 Agung Traffic Operation continues to prioritize preventive measures and a people-oriented approach to improve public awareness and encourage responsible driving behavior.

The public is also encouraged to support the operation by complying with traffic regulations and becoming advocates for road safety, helping maintain safe, orderly, and smooth traffic conditions throughout Bali.
