DENPASAR, BALINEWS — Bali Police and regional police units escorted fuel deliveries from Pertamina’s Manggis Depot to gas stations across the island on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in an effort to speed up distribution amid an ongoing fuel shortage and long queues at several stations.
The operation involved personnel from the Bali Police Traffic Directorate and traffic units across the island. Officers used official police vehicles to escort Pertamina fuel tankers on their journeys to designated gas stations, helping ensure that deliveries could arrive safely and as quickly as possible.
Bali Police Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner Ariasandy said the escorts were part of the police force’s efforts to support the smooth distribution of fuel to the public.
“Bali Police and regional units are escorting Pertamina fuel tankers from the Manggis Depot to designated gas stations throughout Bali. This operation aims to accelerate fuel distribution so that supplies can reach gas stations and be made available to the public as soon as possible,” Ariasandy said in a statement on Wednesday.
He added that the involvement of traffic police was also intended to help maintain traffic flow while fuel tankers traveled to their destinations. The escorts were expected to support a safer, more orderly, and more efficient distribution process.
Bali Police reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the distribution of essential energy supplies through security measures and traffic management in accordance with their duties and authority.
The operation is expected to help accelerate fuel deliveries from the depot to gas stations, allowing residents across Bali to access the fuel they need for their daily activities.
The police initiative comes as queues at several gas stations across Bali continue to cause concern, disrupting traffic and affecting residents’ daily routines.
