DENPASAR, BALINEWS — The Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration has flagged two French nationals identified as performers in a 13-minute adult video allegedly filmed at an accommodation facility in Karangasem, Bali.
The two foreign nationals, identified by the initials EMC, a woman, and JPS, a man, have been entered into the immigration Subject of Interest (SOI) system. The measure is intended to alert immigration officers if they attempt to enter Indonesia again.
Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Ramdhani, said the action followed cyber investigations and a review of immigration records after the video circulated on social media.
“The two individuals involved in the video have now been entered into the Subject of Interest application following coordination in line with the policies of the Directorate General of Immigration,” Ramdhani said in a written statement on Monday, October 26, 2026.
He explained that the system integrates information about the two foreign nationals, enabling officers at immigration checkpoints, including international airports and seaports, to conduct further checks if they return to Indonesia.
According to immigration records, EMC and JPS entered Indonesia through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on January 6, 2026, and departed on January 18, 2026.
Immigration authorities suspect the video was recorded at an accommodation facility in Karangasem during their visit to Indonesia. However, the content was reportedly uploaded to an adult platform around August 2026, when both individuals were already abroad.
The video previously attracted widespread attention on social media. The suspected filming location was identified as the Magic Hills Bali area in Padangaji Kawan Hamlet, Peringsari Village, Selat District, Karangasem Regency.
The footage reportedly shows the two individuals engaging in tourism-related activities at an accommodation facility, with Bali’s natural scenery in the background, before transitioning to explicit scenes.
However, allegations that the video was produced for commercial purposes or paid content have yet to be substantiated and require further investigation.
Ramdhani said that if the two French nationals attempt to re-enter Indonesia, the SOI system will notify immigration officers so they can conduct further examinations. The individuals may subsequently be referred to the Buleleng Immigration Office for handling in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
“This firm measure demonstrates our commitment to carrying out the mandate of the Director General of Immigration, namely ‘Immigration for the People,’” he said.
He added that surveillance of foreign nationals would continue through cyber monitoring and field inspections to maintain public order and protect the interests of local communities and Indonesia’s tourism industry.
As of October 26, 2026, immigration authorities had not provided further information regarding potential legal proceedings against the two French nationals. The alleged filming location and the video's purported commercial purpose also remain subject to further verification by the relevant authorities.
