DENPASAR, BALINEWS — Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pasma Royce met with members of the Christian Protestant Church in Bali (GKPB) Kristus Kasih Denpasar on Sunday, October 18, 2026, as part of the Minggu Kasih (Sunday of Love) program. The initiative aims to strengthen direct communication between the police and the community while providing a forum for residents to share concerns and raise issues related to public safety and security.
Pasma was accompanied by Bali Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General I Made Astawa. Their visit also provided an opportunity for the police leadership to introduce themselves to the congregation and church representatives, strengthening ties between law enforcement and the local community.
Pasma said the Minggu Kasih program reflected the National Police Chief's commitment to ensuring that officers remain accessible to the public, listen to community concerns, and work together to find solutions to local problems.
“Our presence here is a concrete expression of the National Police Chief's program, Police Working Together with the Community. We aim to stay close to the public, listen directly to their feedback, and seek solutions to the problems they face,” Pasma said.
The Minggu Kasih initiative is part of the National Police's Quick Wins program, which seeks to improve public services and strengthen public trust in the police institution.
Through the initiative, community members are encouraged to share their concerns, ask questions, and raise issues affecting safety and security in their neighborhoods.
During the meeting, Pasma stressed that maintaining public safety and order was not solely the responsibility of the police but a shared duty involving all members of society.
He said open communication, cooperation, and mutual respect were essential to creating a safe and harmonious environment across Bali.
“I believe that through the values of love, synergy, and close cooperation, we can work together to maintain security and harmony throughout the Island of the Gods, which we all cherish,” he said.
The approach highlights the importance of direct engagement in strengthening relations between law enforcement and the public. By interacting with the congregation and church representatives, the police seek to foster dialogue and encourage community participation in maintaining public order.
The Minggu Kasih gathering at GKPB Kristus Kasih Denpasar concluded with an informal reception and a group photograph.
Through the program, Bali Police are encouraging greater community involvement in maintaining neighborhood security while promoting communication and cooperation across different community groups to help preserve peace and harmony on the island.
