Bali Police Distribute Free Drinking Water and Provide Medical Assistance to Residents Queuing for Fuel

DENPASAR, BALINEWS — The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali), together with district and subdistrict police units, have stepped up public services at several gas stations experiencing long fuel queues by providing medical assistance and distributing free bottled water to residents waiting to purchase fuel on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Bali Police Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner Ariasandy said the measures complement police efforts to maintain security, manage traffic, and ensure that fuel queues do not disrupt the flow of vehicles around gas stations.

“Our personnel, from the Bali Regional Police down to district and subdistrict police units, are committed to providing comprehensive services to the public. In addition to securing the area and managing traffic to keep fuel queues orderly, we are also providing medical assistance to residents waiting for fuel and to officers working in the field,” Ariasandy said.

He explained that the distribution of free bottled water was intended to help residents maintain their health while waiting in long queues under the hot sun.

According to Ariasandy, the police presence at gas stations goes beyond maintaining public order and security. It also reflects the force’s commitment to providing responsive, compassionate, and community-oriented services.

Police personnel continue to regulate traffic around affected gas stations to prevent vehicle queues from obstructing nearby roads. Meanwhile, medical personnel provide health services to residents and officers who may need assistance during operations.

Ariasandy also urged the public to remain orderly while queuing for fuel, follow instructions from officers on the ground, and maintain their health by drinking enough water, particularly when spending extended periods outdoors.

Through these efforts, the Bali Regional Police aim to ensure that services at gas stations run smoothly, maintain a safe and orderly environment, and allow residents to purchase fuel in a more comfortable and organized manner.

Ariasandy added that the involvement of police medical personnel, alongside officers from the Bali Regional Police, district police commands, and subdistrict police stations, demonstrates the force’s commitment to prioritizing public safety, responsiveness, and a humane approach to serving the community.
