DENPASAR, BALINEWS – The Bali Regional Police and Denpasar City Police have recovered two motorcycles belonging to Suba Rental within three days of a theft report filed by the business owner, Yovina Pradani. The recovery prompted Yovina to express her appreciation for the police’s swift response.
Yovina reported the missing motorcycles to the police on October 21, 2026. On October 24, she received confirmation from officers that both motorcycles had been recovered and the suspect had been arrested.
According to Yovina, the person who rented the motorcycles had shown no suspicious behavior before the incident. The renter was friendly and said the vehicles were needed for a holiday. The individual also claimed that his wife was waiting in a hotel room.
The renter paid IDR 1 million in cash to rent the two motorcycles for three days. However, after taking possession of the vehicles, the renter stopped communicating with Yovina. Suspecting something was wrong, she reported the disappearance to the police.
“We are very happy and relieved. We would like to thank the Bali Regional Police and Denpasar City Police and express our appreciation for their swift response. Within three days of filing the report, our missing motorcycles were recovered,” Yovina said.
Following the incident, Yovina urged vehicle rental operators to exercise greater caution when accepting prospective customers. She emphasized the importance of checking identification documents, verifying personal information, and ensuring that all required paperwork is complete before handing over rental vehicles.
She expressed hope that similar incidents would not happen again and encouraged rental business owners to strengthen their screening procedures to reduce the risk of vehicle misuse.
The recovery highlights the importance of prompt reporting and thorough verification procedures in helping rental businesses protect their assets and prevent potential losses.
