DENPASAR, BALINEWS — Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya has expressed his gratitude to the people of Bali as he concludes his tenure as Bali Regional Police Chief after approximately two years and one month in office. Meanwhile, his successor, Inspector General Pasma Royce, has pledged to strengthen community-oriented policing and maintain security and public order across the island.
The statements were delivered before members of the media on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, as leadership at the Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) transitioned to a new chief.
During his farewell remarks, Daniel thanked the people of Bali, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), relevant government agencies, and members of the media for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure.
He emphasized that collaboration among various stakeholders had played an important role in carrying out police duties, particularly in maintaining security and public order across Bali.
Daniel also apologized to the public for any actions, decisions, or policies during his tenure that may have caused discomfort or dissatisfaction.
“Everything we have done has been solely in the interest of carrying out our duties and for the sake of the Bali we all love,” Daniel said.
He also congratulated Pasma Royce on taking over as Bali Regional Police Chief and expressed hope that cooperation among the police, the Indonesian Military (TNI), local governments, relevant institutions, the media, and the public would continue.
Daniel said sustained collaboration was essential to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and comfortable environment for residents and tourists in Bali.
Meanwhile, Pasma Royce described his appointment as a responsibility that must be carried out with dedication, particularly in maintaining security and public order throughout the province.
He stressed that continuing the programs and achievements initiated by his predecessor would be an important part of his leadership, alongside improving public services and ensuring that law enforcement remained professional and fair.
Pasma also reaffirmed his commitment to implementing the National Police Chief’s directives through the “Police Together with the Community” program. The initiative aims to ensure that police officers remain present among the public and help provide a sense of security, comfort, and reassurance to people from all walks of life.
According to Pasma, a stable and secure environment is essential for supporting community activities, including tourism, one of Bali’s key economic sectors.
He also expressed appreciation to members of the media for their cooperation and support, emphasizing the importance of strengthening relations between the Bali Regional Police and journalists through communication, collaboration, and the delivery of accurate information to the public.
“We will continue to strengthen cooperation between the Bali Regional Police, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, members of the media, and all segments of society. Together, we will work to ensure that security and public order in Bali remain safe and conducive,” Pasma said.
The leadership transition marks the end of Daniel Adityajaya’s tenure and the beginning of Pasma Royce’s leadership, with a focus on continuing existing programs, improving public services, and strengthening the relationship between the police and the community.
