DENPASAR, BALINEWS — The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) held a leadership briefing and the signing and handover of the official Handover Memorandum for the Bali Police Chief position at its headquarters in Denpasar on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The event marked a formal stage in the leadership transition from Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya to Inspector General Pasma Royce.
The event was led by Daniel Adityajaya, the outgoing Bali Police Chief, and received by Pasma Royce, the newly appointed chief. Senior officials from the Bali Regional Police, along with district and municipal police chiefs from across the province, attended the ceremony.
The proceedings began with a leadership briefing, followed by the signing and handover of the Handover Memorandum from Daniel to Pasma. The document forms part of the formal transfer of authority and managerial responsibilities between the outgoing and incoming police chiefs.
The handover memorandum serves as an important reference for the incoming chief in understanding the organization’s operational activities, administrative affairs, and ongoing responsibilities. It is intended to support an orderly transition and ensure continuity in the implementation of police duties across Bali.
Through the document handover, Pasma received information relating to the responsibilities previously carried out under Daniel’s leadership. This process provides an initial reference for the new chief as he assumes responsibility for managing the Bali Regional Police and coordinating its personnel and operational units.
The leadership briefing is also an important part of the organizational transition, allowing the incoming chief to gain an overview of the institution’s current conditions and responsibilities. Such a process supports continuity in organizational management while maintaining the effectiveness of police operations and public services.
The participation of senior police officials and district and municipal police chiefs highlighted the involvement of different levels of the Bali Regional Police organization in the leadership transition. Coordination across these units remains important in carrying out police duties throughout the province.
The transition also carries significance for the continuity of the Bali Regional Police’s core responsibilities, including maintaining public order and security, enforcing the law, and delivering services to the community throughout its jurisdiction.
A formal transfer of leadership requires not only a change in officeholder but also the transfer of information, authority, and managerial responsibilities. The signing and handover of the memorandum are part of this process, helping the incoming chief understand existing duties and maintain the continuity of organizational operations.
The event marked one of the official stages in the transfer of leadership from Daniel Adityajaya to Pasma Royce. Through the leadership briefing and handover memorandum, the Bali Regional Police formalized the transfer of managerial responsibilities as Pasma began his tenure as the new Bali Police Chief.
