SUMATRA, BALINEWS – PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is carrying out maintenance work on three sections of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS), namely the Binjai–Langsa, Pekanbaru–Dumai (Permai), and Terbanggi Besar–Kayu Agung (Terpeka) toll roads. The company is also constructing a new Mataram Jaya Toll Exit at KM 274 on the Terpeka Toll Road to improve regional connectivity in South Sumatra.
The maintenance work is scheduled to take place between October and November 2026, depending on the location and type of work. The initiatives aim to maintain road quality, improve safety, and ensure smoother journeys for toll road users.

“The maintenance work is part of Hutama Karya’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that every toll road under our management remains in optimal condition,” Hamdani said.
The maintenance work is being carried out by PT Hakaaston (HKA), a subsidiary of Hutama Karya responsible for toll road operations and infrastructure maintenance.

The new access is expected to improve travel to and from Lempuing District in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, while supporting goods distribution and local economic activity.
During construction, Hutama Karya is implementing traffic management measures, including a lane narrowing between KM 282 and KM 280 on the Palembang-to-Lampung route.
Motorists are advised to remain alert, reduce their speed, maintain a safe following distance, and comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers near the work zones. Hutama Karya and HKA are also deploying personnel and installing warning signs and work-zone safety equipment to help protect road users and workers.
Hamdani said routine maintenance and the development of new access points were part of the company’s efforts to maintain service quality and extend the benefits of improved toll road connectivity to local communities.
