DENPASAR, BALINEWS — Bali Governor Wayan Koster summoned representatives of Pertamina and the Bali chapter of the National Association of Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs (Hiswana Migas) on Monday, October 12, 2026, to discuss fuel supply disruptions affecting parts of the island.
Following the meeting at around 11 a.m. local time, Koster said fuel distribution to all areas of Bali had begun that day, with supplies at gas stations expected to return to normal by the afternoon.
“Distribution to all parts of Bali is beginning today, so the fuel supply problem is expected to be resolved by this afternoon,” Koster said.
According to Koster, a Pertamina fuel tanker arrived in Bali on Sunday, October 11. An additional tanker is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, October 13, to further strengthen fuel availability across the island.
“Therefore, fuel supplies at all gas stations are expected to return to normal,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus announced that it had strengthened Bali’s fuel supply by bringing in a tanker carrying 18,000 kiloliters (KL) of Pertalite and 2,500 KL of Pertamax.
Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations and CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, said the company continued to monitor fuel stocks and consumption to ensure distribution ran smoothly.
“With the fuel tanker having docked, we are strengthening Pertalite and Pertamax supplies to meet the needs of the people of Bali. Distribution to gas stations is being optimized based on stock levels and consumption rates in each area,” Ahad said.
Pertamina recorded average daily Pertalite consumption in Bali at approximately 2,200 KL. This figure serves as one of the key indicators used to manage supplies and prioritize distribution to gas stations according to local demand.
To maintain a continuous supply, Pertamina has also scheduled additional fuel tanker arrivals on October 12, 14 and 16, 2026, through the Sanggaran and Manggis fuel terminals. The scheduled shipments have a combined volume of 26,200 KL.
In addition to bringing in more fuel, Pertamina is optimizing the unloading process and distribution from terminals to gas stations. The company is also conducting regular assessments of supply requirements based on stock levels and consumption trends in each area.
The fuel supply disruptions have raised concerns because they could affect public mobility, business activities and the distribution of goods across Bali. The smooth delivery of fuel from terminals to gas stations is therefore essential to ensuring that local demand is met.
Pertamina has urged the public to purchase fuel according to their needs and avoid excessive buying. Residents have also been advised to rely on official communication channels for accurate information.
Information and complaints regarding Pertamina’s services and products can be submitted through the Pertamina Contact Center at 135.
Although the Bali provincial government and Pertamina have expressed confidence in the recovery plan, actual conditions at gas stations will determine whether supplies have returned to normal. Adequate fuel availability and shorter queues will be key indicators of a successful recovery in distribution.
