DENPASAR, BALINEWS — The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) held a formal welcoming ceremony for its newly appointed chief, Inspector General Pasma Royce, at the police headquarters in Denpasar on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The ceremony marked part of the leadership transition from outgoing Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya to his successor.
Pasma Royce was welcomed by Daniel Adityajaya, accompanied by senior police officials and personnel from across the Bali Regional Police. The ceremony proceeded in a solemn atmosphere, featuring traditional Balinese welcoming rituals and a formal honor guard at the entrance to the police headquarters.
The event began with traditional Balinese chants and expressions of praise, followed by a ceremonial salute from police personnel. The agenda also included the handover of the official leadership transition memorandum and an introduction to the Bali Regional Police headquarters.
The handover memorandum was an important part of the transition process, providing the incoming chief with information to help him understand the organization’s operations, current conditions, and responsibilities that must be continued under the new leadership.
The leadership transition is expected to support continuity in the Bali Regional Police’s duties, particularly in maintaining public security and order across the province.
As an internationally renowned tourist destination, Bali faces a range of security challenges that require strong coordination and operational readiness among police personnel. These include addressing transnational crime, preventing potential security threats, and safeguarding residents and visitors.
Under Pasma Royce’s leadership, the Bali Regional Police is expected to strengthen internal coordination and enhance its readiness to address these challenges. In addition to maintaining public security, the police are expected to provide professional, responsive, and effective public services.
Transparency in law enforcement is also an important factor in maintaining public trust in the Indonesian National Police. Professional, accountable, and lawful policing is essential to ensuring a sense of security among local communities and tourists visiting Bali.
The new leadership is also expected to strengthen security arrangements for major national and international events held on the island.
The welcoming ceremony marked the beginning of Pasma Royce’s leadership at the Bali Regional Police, with responsibility for continuing the institution’s core duties of maintaining public security and order, enforcing the law, and providing services to the community.
