Bali Police Chief Meets Bali Legislative Council Speaker to Strengthen Security Cooperation

DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pasma Royce met with Bali Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) Speaker Dewa Made Mahayadnya at the council’s office on Jalan Kusuma Atmaja, Renon, Denpasar, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening inter-institutional cooperation to maintain public safety and security across Bali.

The visit was part of Pasma Royce’s introductory outreach following his appointment as Bali Police Chief. He was welcomed by Mahayadnya and other members of the provincial legislative council’s leadership.

During the meeting, Pasma emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Bali Regional Police and the provincial legislature as members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), particularly in maintaining security and stability amid Bali’s active community life and tourism activities.

He said the police needed strong support from all regional government institutions to ensure a safe, peaceful, and orderly environment throughout the island.

“The Bali Police cannot work alone. We need strong support and cooperation from all members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, including the Bali Provincial Legislative Council, to keep Bali safe, peaceful, and stable, especially as a world-class tourist destination,” Pasma said.

Meanwhile, Mahayadnya welcomed the visit and reaffirmed the legislative council’s commitment to supporting the police in carrying out their duties. He highlighted the council’s role in discussing regional regulations and policies related to public security and community welfare.

Stronger coordination between law enforcement and regional legislative institutions is considered important to support policies that serve the public interest while maintaining stability across Bali.

The meeting concluded with a group photograph and an exchange of souvenirs between the two officials.

The visit is expected to strengthen institutional ties between the Bali Regional Police and the Bali Provincial Legislative Council, supporting their shared efforts to maintain public security and promote regional development.

Cooperation among members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum remains an important part of maintaining a stable environment in Bali, both for local communities and for the island’s international tourism sector.
