Denpasar Fuel Supply Declared Safe as Police Step Up Monitoring at Gas Stations

DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Denpasar Police are continuing to monitor fuel availability and distribution at several gas stations following the implementation of an odd-even vehicle registration system for purchasing subsidized fuel. Coordination with Pertamina indicates that fuel supplies in Denpasar remain secure, according to the police.

Denpasar Police Chief Commissioner I Wayan Winaya said the police had coordinated with Pertamina’s area management to verify fuel stock levels and ensure smooth distribution to the public.

“We have coordinated with Pertamina’s area manager, and fuel supplies in Denpasar are currently secure. The Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit and local police stations are also continuing to monitor fuel stocks and conditions at several gas stations,” Winaya said on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

He explained that the monitoring was being carried out continuously to anticipate potential distribution disruptions, ensure smooth services at gas stations, and maintain public order and security.

The Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit, together with local police stations, is also overseeing conditions on the ground to ensure that residents can continue to purchase fuel according to their needs.

Meanwhile, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus said it was continuing to monitor services at gas stations across Bali following the implementation of the odd-even system for subsidized fuel purchases.

According to the company's field monitoring, queues at several gas stations have reportedly returned to normal, while services to customers continue to operate.

Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, said operational evaluations were being conducted regularly, taking into account changes in fuel demand in each area.

Pertamina is also coordinating with gas station operators, the Manggis Integrated Terminal, and the Sanggaran Fuel Terminal to ensure operational readiness and adjust fuel supplies to meet public demand.

Denpasar Police Chief Winaya urged residents to remain calm and avoid purchasing excessive amounts of fuel. He also warned against stockpiling, which could disrupt fuel availability for other consumers.

“We urge the public to purchase fuel according to their needs. Most importantly, we must work together to maintain a safe and orderly situation and avoid stockpiling that could affect fuel availability for other members of the public,” Winaya emphasized.

The Denpasar Police and Pertamina said they would continue monitoring conditions and coordinating their efforts to maintain smooth fuel distribution and ensure that gas station services remain operational.
