Two Saudi Arabian Nationals Suspected of Stabbing Three People in Pecatu; Two Ride-Hailing Drivers and a Security Guard Injured

DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Two Saudi Arabian nationals have been detained by the Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit on suspicion of stabbing three people near Club Corazon, a nightlife venue on Jalan Labuan Sait, Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, in the early hours of Tuesday (October 27, 2026).

The three victims comprised two online motorcycle taxi drivers and a security guard. All sustained stab wounds to various parts of their bodies and received medical treatment.

Denpasar Police Chief Commissioner I Wayan Winaya identified the two suspects by their initials, FMA, 35, and AMA, 29. Both are Saudi Arabian nationals and are being held for further questioning.

“Based on statements from several witnesses at the scene, the incident began when a number of online motorcycle taxi drivers were waiting for passengers across the road from Club Corazon on Jalan Labuan Sait, Pecatu,” Winaya said in Denpasar on Thursday (October 29, 2026).

According to Winaya, the incident began at around 2:35 a.m. when an online motorcycle taxi driver saw the two foreign nationals arguing with security personnel at Club Corazon. The two men were subsequently asked to leave the nightclub.

After leaving the venue, the two men reportedly continued shouting. One of the drivers approached them and asked what had happened. The situation escalated when one of the foreign nationals allegedly punched the driver in the cheek.

Seeing the confrontation, several other online motorcycle taxi drivers approached. The two foreign nationals allegedly pulled folding knives from their trouser pockets and brandished them at the drivers.

The drivers moved westward to distance themselves from the men, who also moved backward for approximately 100 meters from the initial location, toward a hotel construction site near Hotel Somas.

During the incident, one of the foreign nationals reportedly fell to the ground. An online motorcycle taxi driver attempted to help him up while trying to restrain him. However, the driver was allegedly stabbed several times.

“According to the report, the victim sustained three stab wounds to the lower right back and one to the upper left back,” Winaya said.

The victim then turned around to defend himself and pushed the alleged attacker. At the same time, several people attempted to restrain both foreign nationals.

Police identified the three victims as JKN, 30, an online motorcycle taxi driver who sustained a stab wound to the right side of his abdomen; EBG, 29, another driver who was stabbed in the left side of his back; and KD, 23, a security guard who sustained a stab wound to the left side of his back.

All three victims have received medical treatment. The two foreign nationals also sustained injuries and were treated at Bhayangkara Hospital.

Winaya said investigators from the Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit were continuing to examine the case to establish the full sequence of events and determine the alleged role of each suspect.

Both men remain in police custody while investigators conduct further questioning.
