BALINEWS.ID – The fiery spirit of Bali’s culinary heritage comes alive at the Bali Royal Chilli Festival 2025, a one-of-a-kind celebration hosted by Taman Safari Bali. Running from 28 August to 7 September 2025 at UMA Restaurant, the festival pays homage to the island’s rich gastronomic traditions by presenting 70 varieties of royal sambal, each tracing its roots back to the kitchens of nine Balinese palaces.
Held at Bale Banjar, the event immerses visitors in a multisensory experience. Beyond the bold flavors of sambal, guests are invited to explore the artistry of Royal Fabrics with their intricate motifs, the enchanting rhythms of Royal Music performed on traditional Balinese instruments, and the depth of flavor in Royal Coffee, curated by expert baristas. Dedicated “palace areas” for each theme transform the festival into a cultural journey blending taste, sound, and heritage.
“Through Bali Royal Chili 2025, we aim to create not only a unique culinary experience but also a meaningful cultural showcase. Our mission is to preserve Bali’s royal sambal recipes, which carry history and philosophy within every bite,” said Alexander Zulkarnain, Acting Chief Marketing Officer of Taman Safari Indonesia Group.
“By integrating elements of dance, music, fabrics, and coffee, this festival is designed to educate, inspire, and reaffirm Bali’s place as a global culinary destination,” he added.
Representatives from Puri Karangasem echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the event goes beyond food. “This is not just about culinary celebration, it is a living form of Balinese cultural preservation, where royal sambal recipes passed down through generations are shared with the community and the world.”
The Bali Royal Chilli Festival 2025 is open to both domestic and international visitors, offering an unforgettable taste of tradition. More than just a feast, it is a bridge between heritage, culture, and tourism—presenting Bali as an island of flavors as magical as its landscapes.
