BADUNG, BALINEWS.ID – Following the successful event of the 11th Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF), chairman of ASITA Bali has officially announced that the 12th edition of Indonesia’s premier B2B travel fair will take place on May 28-30, 2026. The theme for next year’s event will be “Redefining Indonesia’s Gastronomy Journey: A Celebration of Taste, Culture, and Sustainable Heritage.”
The shift to May was strategically decided in anticipation of major international events scheduled to take place across Bali throughout June 2026. This scheduling aims to ensure optimal participation and visibility for stakeholders in the tourism industry.
Over the last few days, BBTF received strong support from government officials, tourism stakeholders, buyers, and sellers. BBTF is proud to take a part in the growth of Indonesia hoping for continuous support.
“We are committed to continuing BBTF as Indonesia’s leading travel fair to build partnerships and generate long-term, positive impacts on the tourism sector,” stated Putu Winastra.

This year, BBTF recorded a potential transaction value of IDR 7.84 trillion, showing a 3% increase from last year’s figure of IDR 7.61 trillion. A total of 11 provinces across Indonesia participated, and ASITA Bali confirmed that next year’s edition will include even more sellers from outside Bali, as well as an expanded list of international buyers.
A new highlight for BBTF 2026 will be the replacement of the traditional Indonesia Talkshow with a luxury opening dinner, set to take place at The Laguna Resort and Spa, Nusa Dua. This exclusive gathering is designed to offer a more immersive and refined experience, integrating networking with Indonesian culinary excellence.
Shebulon Chicalu, CEO of Namibia Tourism Board and a buyer who attended BBTF for the first time, shared a positive impression.
“This is our first time here, bringing Namibia to Bali. So far, BBTF has been excellent, especially for B2B opportunities. You’ve done something great, particularly with village tourism, but we hope next year it can evolve into a full tourism village experience,” he said.
As BBTF continues to grow in scale and impact, it reinforces its mission to promote Indonesia’s diverse destinations and foster meaningful connections across the global tourism industry. (*)
