Bali Police Internal Oversight Officers Take to the Streets to Promote Traffic Safety

DENPASAR, BALINEWS – Personnel from the Bali Regional Police’s Inspectorate for Regional Supervision (Itwasda) took to Gatot Subroto Street in Denpasar on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, to monitor police operations and educate motorists on road safety as part of Operation Patuh Agung 2026.

During the activity, Itwasda personnel monitored the presence and readiness of police officers assigned to manage traffic at several intersections. The supervision aimed to ensure that officers carried out their duties effectively while supporting road safety, order, and smooth traffic flow.

In addition to conducting internal oversight, the personnel directly approached road users to provide safety reminders, particularly to motorists who were not complying with traffic safety regulations. Issues highlighted included riding without a helmet and carrying more passengers than a motorcycle is designed to accommodate.

The officers delivered their messages through a humane and persuasive approach, emphasizing that traffic regulations are not merely rules to be followed but essential measures to protect the safety of riders, passengers, and other road users.

The educational initiative forms part of the Bali Regional Police’s preventive efforts under Operation Patuh Agung 2026 to raise public awareness of traffic regulations, reduce the risk of road accidents, and minimize the severity of injuries and fatalities resulting from traffic incidents.

Through direct supervision and public education, the Bali Regional Police continues to promote a culture of responsible driving and safer road use across Bali.
