JAKARTA, BALINEWS – Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration has introduced “Beranda Imigrasi” as a unified brand for 254 immigration service points operating outside immigration offices across the country. The initiative aims to make it easier for the public to identify and access immigration services in public spaces.
Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko said the rebranding was intended to reduce confusion caused by the various names and abbreviations previously used for immigration service units outside official immigration offices.
“By introducing a single name, Beranda Imigrasi, we want people from all walks of life to easily recognize immigration service locations wherever they are,” Hendarsam said in a written statement on Wednesday (October 28, 2026).
The 254 service points comprise 156 Public Service Malls, 33 Passport Service Units, 20 Immigration Lounges, 16 One-Stop Integrated Service units, 15 Immigration Office Work Units, 13 Ultima I’m SeZ units, and one Immigration Corner.
The rebranding will also affect how these service locations appear on Google Maps and the M-Paspor application. Members of the public can search for immigration service points outside official immigration offices by entering “Beranda Imigrasi” followed by the name of the relevant area or location.
For example, the location previously known as Immigration Lounge Senayan City Mall has been renamed Beranda Imigrasi Senayan City Mall.
Hendarsam explained that the name Beranda Imigrasi carries a deeper meaning. The word “beranda,” which means “veranda” or “front porch” in Indonesian, represents a welcoming meeting point before someone begins a new journey. The concept reflects the Immigration Directorate’s commitment to providing warm, friendly, and accessible services.
He added that the service concept was designed to create a more welcoming atmosphere and reduce the perception of rigid bureaucracy while maintaining administrative compliance and professional standards.
Many of the service points are located in public spaces, including shopping malls, university campuses, and integrated commercial areas. Their presence is intended to bring immigration services closer to the public and make them more accessible.
“With the spirit of providing services that are accessible, warm, and friendly, Beranda Imigrasi is ready to become a trusted companion for the public in preparing travel documents for journeys to destinations around the world,” Hendarsam said.
Through this unified branding, the Directorate General of Immigration hopes to make it easier for people across Indonesia to find immigration service locations outside official immigration offices, including facilities offering passport services.
The announcement was issued by the Directorate General of Immigration’s Public Communications Division on October 28, 2026.
