BALINEWS.ID – Gnosis by Lesaffre, a global innovator in nutritional ingredients, carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative focused on maternal and pregnancy health through active folate supplementation on Wednesday (5/2/2026). The program took place from 09.00 to 12.00 WITA at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali.
The CSR activity was organized in collaboration with PT Simex Pharmaceutical Indonesia, aiming to promote evidence-based maternal nutrition using fourth-generation bioactive folate. The initiative underscored the shared commitment of both companies to improving pregnancy health outcomes through scientific, clinical, and community-driven approaches.
Folate intake is widely recognized as a critical component in supporting healthy pregnancies, optimal fetal development, and reducing the risk of neural tube defects. Through this program, Gnosis emphasized the importance of ensuring pregnant women receive the most effective and bioavailable form of folate, supported by scientific research and clinical expertise.
A total of 30 pregnant women participated in the program, which was supported by dr. Anak Agung Gede Raka Budayasa, Sp.OG, Subsp. Participants attended an educational session discussing maternal nutrition, the role of active folate during pregnancy, and practical guidance on proper supplementation to support maternal and fetal well-being.

“As part of our CSR commitment, Gnosis believes that access to science-backed nutrition is essential for healthier pregnancies. Through collaboration with trusted partners and healthcare professionals, we aim to create meaningful and sustainable health impacts for mothers and their babies,” said Marco Atanassi, APAC Commercial Director of Gnosis by Lesaffre.
Meanwhile, Merrylin Saragih, Head of Product at PT Simex Pharmaceutical Indonesia, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration.
