UBUD, BALINEWS.ID – This September, music and culinary artistry come together in a rare one-night celebration as Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali by Marriott International, presents Evening Melodies: A Dine with Balawan. The event, set for Sarasvati Day on Saturday, 6 September 2025, will feature the legendary Balinese guitarist Balawan alongside his acclaimed ensemble, Batuan Ethnic Fusion.
The evening promises more than just a concert, it is an immersive cultural experience where jazz improvisation meets traditional Balinese rhythm, paired with a world-class buffet curated by Executive Chef Aris Supriyanto.
Recognized as a pioneer of ethnic fusion music in Indonesia, Balawan is renowned for his two-handed tapping guitar technique and innovative compositions. For this special evening, he will debut his extraordinary five-neck guitar in Ubud for the first time.
“Music is endless knowledge, much like Sarasvati, the goddess of wisdom,” Balawan reflected.
“This will be my first time performing with my five-neck guitar at Sthala, and I’m excited to share this experience with the audience,” h eadded.

A Dine with Balawan event will take place on Saturday, 6 September 2025, coinciding with Sarasvati Day, at Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali. Guests can look forward to an enchanting evening buffet and live performance by Balawan and Batuan Ethnic Fusion.
Tickets are priced at IDR 650,000 nett per person, inclusive of a welcome drink and full buffet dinner, with an Early Bird rate of IDR 520,000 nett for bookings made before 23 August 2025.
