BADUNG, BALINEWS.ID – The atmosphere in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village, Abiansemal District, was transformed on Saturday evening, June 14, 2025. Renowned for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, the village played host to the Cultural Dinner event, part of the Post Tour Exhibition of the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2025. This event is part of the tourism promotion program, both domestic and international, planned for the 2025 fiscal year.
The event was attended by Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa, along with several notable figures, including Badung DPRD member Putu Dendy Astra Wijaya, ASITA Bali Chairman I Putu Winastra, regional officials, and tourism industry players from across the globe.
In his remarks, Regent Adi Arnawa expressed deep appreciation to the local community and tourism stakeholders, whom he recognized as being at the forefront of promoting Badung as a travel destination. He emphasized that Badung’s tourism development will continue to be guided by the philosophy of “Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali,” aiming to foster high-quality and sustainable tourism.
“Bali is already known worldwide, but we must not turn a blind eye to the challenges we face such as traffic congestion, waste management, and clean water supply. These issues require our collective effort,” the Regent asserted.
Beyond addressing these concerns, the Regent also shared Badung Regency’s ambitious plans to improve tourism infrastructure, especially in South Badung. He announced that in 2026, the regional government will allocate IDR 2.8 trillion for the construction of three major roadways leading to top destinations such as Uluwatu, Berawa, and Canggu.
“Our goal is to complete these road projects by the end of 2026. After that, development will continue in North Badung, focusing on an ecotourism-based approach,” he explained.
More than just a promotional effort, the Regent expressed his hope that events like this will serve as platforms to strengthen the role of local communities in preserving culture and protecting the environment amid the continued growth of the tourism industry.
Adding to the momentum of the evening, Wayan Subrata, Vice Chairman of Destination at DPD ASITA Bali, also shared his optimism.
“We are hopeful that through this post-tour, we’ve introduced tourism products from North Badung, which holds strong potential for future development. These can be packaged and offered to your clients as attractive new options. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by myself or our team during this post-tour,” he said.
The Cultural Dinner not only showcased the vibrant traditions of Bongkasa Pertiwi but also strengthened collaboration between government, communities, and tourism stakeholders. It was a night that reflected the heart of Balinese hospitality, warm, hopeful, and forward-looking, leaving a lasting impression on guests and affirming Badung’s commitment to sustainable tourism development.(*)
