BADUNG, BALINEWS – Bank BPD Bali is strengthening its support for productive sectors by financing agricultural machinery for a rice milling and polishing business in Badung Regency, Bali. The financing, provided through the Agricultural Machinery Business Credit (Kredit Usaha Alsintan or KUA) program, is being used to upgrade rice milling equipment, improve operational efficiency, and increase production capacity.
The symbolic handover of the financing took place during the International Fora for Government Credit Programs 2026 at the Grand Ballroom of Mulia Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the forum carried the theme “Empowering MSMEs Through Innovative and Sustainable Financing.”
The event was attended by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurahman, and Bali Governor Wayan Koster. BPD Bali was represented at the symbolic handover by its Head of Retail and Consumer Credit Division.
The beneficiary is a family-owned agricultural processing business in Badung Regency that has been operating since 1997. The financing supports the modernization of its Rice Milling Unit (RMU), with the aim of improving productivity and strengthening the business's role in connecting local farmers with consumers while helping maintain the regional rice supply.
Made Lestara Widiatmika, Director of Credit at BPD Bali, said financing support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is part of the bank's ongoing commitment to strengthening economic independence and resilience among local communities.
“We strive to ensure that accessible financing is available and directed toward the right purposes and beneficiaries. Our support for agricultural processing businesses is aligned with the central government's Asta Cita agenda to build national food self-sufficiency,” Made said.
He added that the initiative also supports Bali's Ekonomi Kerthi Bali vision and is consistent with Bali Governor Regulation No. 99 of 2018 concerning the marketing and utilization of local agricultural, fishery, and industrial products.
According to data as of October 26, 2026, BPD Bali's distribution of People's Business Credit (Kredit Usaha Rakyat or KUR) reached IDR 2.04 trillion, equivalent to 99.98 percent of its IDR 2.05 trillion target.
