Assets Grow, MSME Lending Strengthens as Bank BPD Bali Maintains Positive Performance in Q3 2026

DENPASAR, BALINEWS — PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Bali (Bank BPD Bali) recorded positive financial performance through the end of September 2026, with net profit reaching IDR 1.006 trillion, up 6.43 percent year-on-year (YoY). The growth was accompanied by an increase in lending, particularly to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

As of the end of the third quarter of 2026, Bank BPD Bali’s total outstanding loans reached IDR 26.82 trillion, an increase of 8.52 percent from IDR 24.71 trillion in the same period last year.

MSME lending accounted for IDR 14.43 trillion, representing 53.80 percent of the bank’s total loan portfolio. The segment recorded annual growth of 14.92 percent, reflecting the bank’s continued focus on financing local businesses and supporting economic development in Bali.

Bank BPD Bali President Director I Nyoman Sudharma, S.H., M.H., said the positive results reflected strong cooperation among the bank’s management, employees, customers, shareholders, and other stakeholders.

“The growth in our financial performance and the increased use of digital services are the results of solid cooperation among everyone at Bank BPD Bali. These achievements would not have been possible without the continued support, loyalty, and trust of our customers, shareholders, and all stakeholders,” Sudharma said in a written statement on Friday, October 16, 2026.

To support business financing, Bank BPD Bali disbursed IDR 1.87 trillion through the People’s Business Credit program, known as Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR), as of September 2026.

Meanwhile, disbursements under Kredit KUSUMA, a financing product designed to support businesses progressing beyond the KUR program, reached IDR 1.46 trillion. The bank’s Kredit Kusuma Sari product recorded disbursements of IDR 774.8 billion.

Assets and Capital Continue to Strengthen

Bank BPD Bali’s total assets reached IDR 44.87 trillion as of September 2026, representing annual growth of 5.66 percent from IDR 42.47 trillion in September 2025.

Asset quality remained well managed, with the gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio at 0.97 percent and the net NPL ratio at 0.04 percent. The bank’s operating expense-to-operating income ratio (BOPO) stood at 60.25 percent.

Other profitability and efficiency indicators also remained positive. Net interest margin (NIM) stood at 5.93 percent, return on assets (ROA) at 3.90 percent, return on equity (ROE) at 22.76 percent, and the cost-to-income ratio (CIR) at 51.70 percent.

On the capital side, the bank’s total capital increased by 20.43 percent year-on-year to IDR 6.56 trillion. Core capital reached IDR 6.31 trillion, up 20.65 percent, while the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) stood at 30.11 percent.

Digital Transactions Continue to Rise

Alongside expanding financing for productive sectors, Bank BPD Bali continues to develop digital banking services to support transactions by the public and MSMEs.

As of September 2026, the number of merchants using the bank’s Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment service reached 72,597, an increase of 12.39 percent year-on-year.

QRIS transactions totaled 26,944,231 during the period, an increase of 10,719,895 transactions compared with the same period last year.

Growth was also recorded in the bank’s BPD Bali Mobile application. The number of users rose 15.89 percent year-on-year, increasing by 41,568 to reach 303,120 users.

Transaction volume through BPD Bali Mobile grew by 19.53 percent, adding 368,776 transactions to reach a total of 2,256,920 transactions as of September 2026.

The figures indicate broader adoption of the bank’s digital services for everyday financial activities, including business transactions and cashless payments.

Expanding Financial Literacy and Corporate Governance

Bank BPD Bali also continues to promote financial education and literacy to help the public better understand and manage their finances.

Through the third quarter of 2026, the bank had conducted 831 financial education activities involving 58,067 participants from various segments of society.

The programs included Goes to Campus, Goes to Banjar, and Bank Goes to School, as well as financial education initiatives for MSME owners, farmers, fishermen, livestock farmers, Indonesian migrant workers and prospective migrant workers, retirees, civil servants, village credit institutions, and people with disabilities.

In terms of institutional recognition, Bank BPD Bali reported receiving a total of 20 awards. Among its 2026 accolades were the Crown Champion award from the Infobank Awards for maintaining strong performance for 25 consecutive years from 2002 to 2026; the Platinum Trophy and five-star Regional Development Bank (BPD Bintang 5) recognition at the TOP BUMD Awards 2026; the Indonesia Best Bank 2026 award from Warta Ekonomi; and the TOP GRC Awards 2026 #Star 5 for governance, risk management, and compliance.

Sudharma said the trust placed in the bank by customers and stakeholders would continue to motivate it to contribute to the regional economy.

“The trust we have built inspires us to remain present, deliver value, and support communities and business owners so that we can grow together,” he said.

Through stronger MSME financing, continued digital innovation, and broader financial literacy initiatives, Bank BPD Bali said it would continue expanding access to financial services to support business growth and the wider economy in Bali.
