BALINEWS.ID – Macau is gearing up for one of the region’s most anticipated spirits festivals as Whisky Live & Fine Spirits Macau 2025 returns on 28–29 November at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort. Co-presented by SJM Resorts, S.A. and Whisky Magazine, this year’s edition expands significantly, offering guests more than 500 premium whisky expressions from over 80 international brands, curated masterclasses, world-class mixology, live entertainment, and exclusive culinary pairings, all under one roof.
A major highlight of the event is the Asia Bar Show, which will feature 12 leading bars across the region. Taking the spotlight is Mesa Bar at THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU, led by Frederick Ma, 2024 IBA World Bartender of the Year, who will present a menu of inventive signature cocktails. Top regional names such as Hope & Sesame (Guangzhou), Carrots Bar (Jakarta), Bee’s Knees (Kyoto), Two Moons (Macau), and Alibi – Wine Dine Be Social (Hong Kong) will also showcase their craft, delivering a vibrant mixology experience.
Collectors can look forward to the exclusive annual festival bottle, Tsunuki Single Cask Whisky Live Macau 2025, Aged 6 Years, Cream Sherry Cask, Peated. Limited to only 500 bottles, this rare 58% ABV release offers layers of smoke, dried fruit, and sherry sweetness, available exclusively through event packages.
Enhancing the festival atmosphere, live musical performances will take place daily. Jazz virtuoso Eugene Pao & Quartet will headline Friday night, while popular Hong Kong DJ duo Beat Friday will bring nostalgic Canto Disco and retro Cantopop remixes to Saturday’s closing celebration. Complementing the entertainment, the VIP Lounge will serve specially curated gourmet pairings from SJM’s award-winning restaurants, alongside whisky-inspired menus available throughout November.
A series of masterclasses led by global whisky experts, including Hiroaki Nakamura of Hombo Shuzo, Sukhinder Singh of Elixir Distillers, and Arthur Le Vaillant of La Maison du Whisky, will offer deeper exploration into whisky heritage, region-specific styles, and tasting techniques. SJM will also introduce exclusive hotel packages bundling accommodation, privileges, and tasting benefits to elevate the guest experience.
