DENPASAR, BALINEWS — Indonesia’s National Police have reassigned 88 senior and mid-ranking officers, including a change in leadership at the Bali Regional Police.
Brigjen. Pol. Dr. Pasma Royce, S.I.K., M.H., has been appointed as the new Bali Police chief, replacing Insp. Gen. Pol. Daniel Adityajaya.
The reshuffle is stipulated in National Police Chief Telegram No. ST/2205/X/KEP./2026, dated October 2, 2026.
Bali Police Public Relations Chief, Commissioner Ariasandy, S.I.K. confirmed the change in leadership.
“Yes, there has been a change in the Bali Police chief,” Ariasandy said when contacted on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Ariasandy said the Bali Police are still awaiting instructions from the National Police headquarters regarding the official handover ceremony for the new police chief.
He said leadership changes within the National Police are part of a routine process following an official handover at the headquarters.
“Once the handover at National Police headquarters has taken place, we are ready to follow up with the handover of the new Bali Police chief,” Ariasandy said when met at his office on Monday.
He said the transition would include several stages, including verification, a farewell ceremony and a farewell parade.
“When will the new Bali Police chief take office? We are waiting for instructions from National Police headquarters,” Ariasandy said.
Daniel Adityajaya, who previously served as Bali Police chief, has been reassigned as a senior officer at the National Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim), on assignment outside the police organizational structure.
Adityajaya, a graduate of the Indonesian Police Academy's 1991 class, has extensive experience in criminal investigations. He had served as Bali Police chief before receiving the new assignment.
Meanwhile, Pasma Royce has been appointed to lead the Bali Regional Police.
The latest reshuffle affects not only the Bali Police leadership. According to the telegram, a total of 88 senior and mid-ranking officers have been reassigned.
Of the 88 officers, 70 were promoted or appointed to new positions. The reshuffle also included rank promotions for 21 officers and adjustments to the career levels and positions of other senior and mid-ranking officers.
The Bali Police will prepare for the official leadership handover once it receives the schedule and further instructions from National Police headquarters.
