BALINEWS.ID – Utama Spice, the Bali-born wellness brand, continues to prove that purpose and community are at the core of its identity. Throughout July and early August 2025, the brand spearheaded and supported a series of impactful initiatives, ranging from wellness gatherings to cultural showcases, reinforcing its guiding philosophy: For People, For Earth, For Us.
The month began with Utama Spice’s support of the Charity Obstacle Run in Bali, in collaboration with Right Reasons and Educate Bali. Designed as a family-friendly day of fitness and fun, the event successfully raised funds to expand English literacy programs for underserved Balinese communities. The initiative was powered by Right Reasons Funding, founded by Duaine James, who emphasized the spirit behind the cause: “If the cause comes from the heart and the impact is clear, we want to help.”
In recognition of International Self-Care Day on 25 July, Utama Spice joined forces with The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud Bali to host Scents of Self-Care, an intimate wellness event held at the resort’s serene yoga pavilion. Guests enjoyed a DIY candle-making workshop by Utama Spice, guided meditation, and a massage demonstration from the resort’s Heavenly Spa—an afternoon designed to encourage reflection, relaxation, and the power of everyday rituals.
The celebrations continued on 26 July at Utama Spice’s flagship store in Sanur with a cultural showcase and community gathering. Partnering with Munti Gunung Social Enterprise, the event highlighted sustainable livelihoods and traditional crafts from Northeast Bali. Attendees explored new batik motifs, engaged in a DIY skincare workshop using Utama Spice’s Rosella blend, and connected with artisans, loyal customers, and community supporters in a vibrant celebration of heritage and creativity.
On 9 August, Utama Spice participated in the WellNest Festival Jakarta at Habitat Park, a first-of-its-kind holistic wellness festival. The brand contributed to the festival’s Sensory Room, offering essential oils to create a calming aromatherapy experience, and engaged visitors with its DIY roller booth, sampling stations, and product displays. The event brought together families, friends, and wellness seekers of all ages, transforming an urban green space into a hub of mindfulness, movement, and cultural exchange.
Reflecting on the initiatives, Ria Templer, Director of Utama Spice, said: “We don’t see these moments as separate from what we do day-to-day. They are part of our DNA—deeply connected to our roots in Bali and to our vision for a more caring, sustainable future.”
From supporting literacy and wellness to empowering artisans and creating spaces for connection, Utama Spice continues to embody its mission of blending Bali’s cultural heritage with modern wellness. Each collaboration reaffirms the brand’s commitment to community, sustainability, and creating meaningful, long-term impact.
