LOMBOK, BALINEWS.ID – A new beachfront lifestyle destination is set to redefine island living in Indonesia as Noema Resort Gili Trawangan officially prepares to welcome guests in July 2026. The upcoming resort, part of the growing JHL Collection portfolio, promises a fresh hospitality concept that blends nature, sustainability, wellness, and modern freedom on the shores of Gili Trawangan, Lombok.
Located along the island’s serene eastern coastline, Noema Resort Gili Trawangan offers direct access to white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Unlike conventional resorts, Noema is designed as a vibrant social and lifestyle hub aimed at travelers, divers, wellness enthusiasts, and creative communities seeking a more authentic island experience.
The launch also marks the expansion of the Noema brand following the success of Noema Resort Pererenan in Bali. Executive Director of JHL Collection, Satria Wei, said the new property reflects the company’s vision of creating relaxed yet refined coastal destinations.
“Bringing the Noema brand to Gili Trawangan represents a strategic evolution of our coastal lifestyle concept,” Satria explained.
“We wanted to create a space that captures the raw, free-spirited essence of Gili Trawangan while still delivering the thoughtful comfort our guests expect from JHL Collection,” he added.
According to him, the concept embraces natural materials and spontaneous island experiences, replacing rigid resort formalities with a more laid-back atmosphere connected to the sea, sand, and local energy.
Beyond its lifestyle appeal, Noema Resort Gili Trawangan is also positioning itself as a sustainability-driven development. Even before opening, the resort has implemented several eco-conscious initiatives to minimize environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
The property utilizes recycled glass transformed into silica sand for brick construction and has installed a geo-textile water reservoir system dedicated to hydrant operations. In collaboration with WaterHub, the resort also produces purified drinking water on-site through refill stations to reduce reliance on single-use plastics.
Meanwhile, organic waste generated within the property will be processed using a Rapid Composter machine capable of turning waste into nutrient-rich compost within 24 hours.
Noema Resort Gili Trawangan will feature 50 curated glamping-style accommodations, ranging from Tropical Glamping units to premium Island Glamping options equipped with private outdoor whirlpools. The resort also offers spacious two-bedroom Imagi Glamping accommodations designed for families and group travelers.
Supporting the island lifestyle experience, the resort introduces several signature facilities, including Mamaloma, a 24-hour beachfront dining venue inspired by the flavors of Noema Pererenan. Guests can also enjoy Forest Gym, an open-air fitness area featuring handcrafted wooden equipment directly on the beach.
Adventure seekers will have access to wall-climbing activities, coastal water sports, and Diving.de Gili, an internationally standardized diving center complete with a dedicated training pool.
For relaxation and recovery, the resort presents Varuna Spa by Amerta, a wellness sanctuary inspired by natural elements and mindful healing rituals aimed at promoting deep relaxation after outdoor activities.
Noema Resort Gili Trawangan is scheduled to officially open its doors in July 2026, further strengthening Lombok and the Gili Islands as premier lifestyle and wellness tourism destinations in Indonesia. (*)
