The accolade was presented at an exclusive ceremony held on December 19, 2024, at the Kertha Gosana Room, Puspem Badung, Bali, by the Tri Hita Karana Foundation. This highly anticipated event brought together industry leaders, sustainable tourism advocates, and environmental champions in a collective celebration of Bali’s progressive strides toward responsible tourism.
The Tri Hita Karana philosophy, which translates to “Three Paths to Prosperity,” emphasizes the importance of fostering peace and prosperity through the alignment of three core relationships: humans and the divine, humans and nature, and humans with one another. Soulshine Bali’s steadfast commitment to this holistic approach has propelled it to the forefront of sustainable hospitality on the island.

The Tri Hita Karana Awards have been an annual fixture since 2000, with this year seeing the participation of 50 hotels across Bali. The awards have garnered global recognition, receiving an endorsement from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN-WTO) in 2004 and being incorporated into Bali’s tourism legislation in 2009. Furthermore, the Tri Hita Karana philosophy became an integral component of Bali’s Clean and Green initiative in 2010.
In tandem with this monumental achievement, Soulshine Bali is also thrilled to announce its attainment of the Gold Certification from Eco Tourism Bali. This esteemed certification recognizes the resort’s ongoing efforts to champion sustainable practices in tourism, with a focus on conservation, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
