BADUNG, BALINEWS.ID – For the first time, Beachwalk Shopping Center Kuta, one of Bali’s largest lifestyle destinations, is hosting a 5K Fun Run under the theme “Striving for a Life of Health and Happiness.” The event, part of the Kuta Beach Festival, invites both locals and international visitors to embrace a healthy lifestyle while enjoying the beauty of Bali’s world-famous Kuta Beach.
General Manager of Beachwalk Shopping Center, Gita Sunarwulan, said the event received an overwhelming response, with all 300 tickets sold out on-site.
“We want to encourage both the local community and expatriates in Bali to live healthier lives and enjoy exercising together. The idea of a fun run was warmly welcomed by the participants,” she said.
She added that the launch of the Fun Run also shows how Beachwalk remains an active hub in Bali’s tourism landscape.
“This is our first step to make health and happiness part of the Beachwalk experience. It proves that Kuta, especially Beachwalk, continues to exist as a destination that connects lifestyle, sport, and leisure,” Gita explained.
The 5K race kicks off at 6:00 AM and runs until 9:00 AM, featuring not only a scenic run along Kuta Beach but also zumba sessions, cooling-down exercises, live entertainment, and fun games.
Campaign & Experience Manager Reksa Hartoyo highlighted that the Beachwalk Fun Run offers a unique experience compared to other running events.
“The highlight is not just running, but celebrating happiness with a view of Kuta’s magnificent waves, combined with zumba, entertainment, and surprises,” he said.
He further emphasized that the event is designed to be more than a one-day celebration.
“Our hope is to make this an annual tradition, one that motivates people to live actively and also reminds them that Kuta Beach remains one of the most beautiful and vibrant spots in Bali,” Reksa added.
To add excitement, participants will have the chance to win attractive door prizes including Koka and Adidas running shoes, staycation vouchers, Sunday brunch and BBQ packages, and exclusive tenant shopping vouchers.
Each registered runner receives a run pack consisting of an official jersey, bib number, and on race day, a finisher medal plus a goodie bag filled with special treats such as ice cream, coffee, dining, and shopping vouchers from Beachwalk’s tenants like Arabica, Starbucks, Häagen-Dazs, Coco Gourmet, Pizza Marzano, Gripp, and Parasol, along with wellness products from Secret Garden and Salonpas.
Beachwalk has set a minimum age limit of 17 years old for participants and plans to make the Fun Run a signature program that brings the community together through health, sports, and leisure. (*)
